The NychairX is a folding chair that has been loved since 1970.
This is a compact, comfortable chair designed to suit Japanese living environments.
Even when combined with the ottoman, the space is compact, about one tatami mat, so you can relax comfortably.
The Shikiri series is based on the motif of the "shikiri" partition, a traditional Japanese architectural design, and is clad in misty bluish-grey tones reminiscent of ink paintings and Nordic landscapes.
The design has a common atmosphere between Japan and Denmark, where architecture and design have been strongly influenced by Japonism. It is a design that could only have been created by Rika Kawahigashi, who has a Japanese father and a Danish mother, and whose designs are rooted in the fusion of different cultures.
The NychairX provides a comfortable, enveloping seating experience by taking advantage of the calculated height of the armrests, the angle of the backrest, and the characteristics of the fabric. Its beautiful form and light weight of about 6.5 kg make it easy for women to carry. It folds to a width of about 15 cm, and it can stand on its own even when folded, so it can be stored in a small space.
The seat can be removed and replaced separately, allowing for long-term use.
