The NychairX 80 was born in 1980, 10 years after the release of the NychairX. It was developed to respond to the changing times, from low-slung living environments where tatami mats were the norm to chair-sitting lifestyles.

While maintaining the same enveloping seating comfort, the seat height makes it easy to sit and stand, and the height and angle of the armrests naturally support your arms. Even the backrest can be folded up, making it more compact and easier to carry.
