Collection: FDB Møbler

FDB Møbler is a Danish furniture brand founded in 1942 with the aim of improving the standard of living of consumers in Denmark, a Nordic country.

FDB is the abbreviation for the Danish Co-operative Union, which was founded by Christian Sonne in 1866. The company got its start in 1942 with the establishment of its furniture division, FDB Möbler.

Based on strict development conditions that were revolutionary at the time, the concept was "durable, beautiful, comfortable to sit on, and affordable."

The company was supervised by Kaare Klint, known as the father of Danish modernism, and its first director was Børge Mogensen, followed by Paul M. Volta as its second director.

Famous designers such as Hans J. Wegner and Arne Jacobsen were among the project members, and they produced many masterpieces. These became models for future Nordic Danish furniture, and many Danish designs were born. FDB Möbler furniture, born from a mix of the designers' uncompromising product development, the skilled techniques of the craftsmen, and the culture nurtured by the history and geography of Scandinavia, all of these elements, enriched the lives of the Danish people at the time and took root.

However, as time went on, some production was discontinued in the 1980s, but due to overwhelming support it was revived and restarted in Denmark in 2013.
