The fabric used is dop, a new and innovative interior fabric launched by Mina Perhonen in 2014.
The name comes from the Italian word "doppio" which means "double". As the name suggests, the bag is made of double-faced moleskin, which wears down over time and reveals a different color on the back, making it a design that will look great even after years of use.
We use wonderful fabrics that change appearance over time and can be used for many years with love, making them feel even more special.
The seat cushion is not only filled with cotton and feathers, but also with a four-layer structure of hard and medium-density urethane, which is also used in public transportation (such as the Shinkansen), to prevent the cushion from losing its shape and provide a very comfortable seating experience.

In 2006, we participated in the "60VISION" project, which aims to unearth simple, high-quality, timeless items created in the 1960s along with the manufacturing philosophy of companies, and the brand "Maruni 60" was born. The brand offers high-quality furniture that retains the original designs but has been improved by artisans to suit the modern environment.
About Maruni Wood Industry
It was founded in 1928 as "Showa Bentwood Factory" and merged with Numata Woodworks in 1933 to form Maruni Woodworks Co., Ltd.
At the time, wooden furniture was considered something that was handmade by craftsmen, but with the motto of "industrializing craftsmanship," Maruni Wood Industry is working on the development of various technologies with the aim of "industrializing furniture through division of labor without relying on the hands of craftsmen." Today, Maruni Wood Industry furniture is loved by famous facilities and companies around the world, including the United States.
