BRITA SWEDEN is a textile brand founded in 2010 by mother Margaretha and sisters Pia and Monica. The brand name "BRITA" comes from the name of Margaretha's grandmother, who was a craftsman of weaving, knitting, screen printing, etc. in Tornedalen, a valley near the border between Sweden and Finland.

In 2007, they started making everyday items to brighten up our lives, such as bedding, aprons, and tablecloths made from organic materials, and in 2009 their plastic rugs gained popularity, leading to the launch of the brand in 2010.
