The ring stool "S-3165MP-NT" was designed by Tokuyoshi Kato, one of the founding members of Tendo Mokko and who served as the factory manager (craftsman).

Although it has a simple structure consisting of legs attached to a ring-shaped seat, it is a product that is packed with the ingenuity of artisans.

The seat and legs, which may look delicate at first glance, are attached very firmly.
By drilling a hole in the seat, it is easy to use and can be carried easily with one hand.
The hole in the seat is angled towards the center, and the layered wood grain creates a beautiful circle, creating a lovely design.

It is also popular as a shelf for placing plants or as an accent piece in a room.

Tokuyoshi Kato was born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1901. He was one of the founding members of the Tendo Mokko Furniture and Fittings Industrial Association, the predecessor of Tendo Mokko, which was established in 1940. While he was a factory manager, he designed the Ring Stool, which went on sale in 1955. It was originally designed for craftsmen and was a type of "stool." In 1968, he became president and CEO. In 1972, he received the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation Chairman's Encouragement Award. In 1978, he was awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal.
