"Dachshund"
Kai Bojesen celebrates the 90th anniversary of his first animal series

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the birth of the Dachshund, which was born in 1934 as one of Kai Bojesen's first animal series, a new Dachshund color, "Black," has been created to complement the beloved original (walnut).

The material has been changed to oak, and in addition to the current size, the original large size has been revived, and the parent and child are available in large and small sizes. For Kai Bojesen, dogs are depicted as symbols of loyalty, faithfulness and love, and he paid utmost respect to this cute dog.

Designer Kay BojesenKay Bojesen Denmark is the creator of the wooden monkey, beloved all over the world. Kai Bojesen is one of Denmark's most famous designers. After his death, his family ran the company for over 30 years, but in 1991, the current Rosendahl Design Group took over the commercial rights to wooden products and began reproducing them as "Roosendahl Copenhagen", and in 2010, the brand name was unified under "Kay Bojesen Denmark". While inheriting Kai Bojesen's will, they are actively reproducing designs that have not been commercialized and hidden masterpieces. They also take environmentally friendly measures, such as using FSC-certified wood. The iconic monkey is a masterpiece that everyone knows now. Based on his design philosophy of "valuing the comfort of holding something that is round and soft in the hand", each piece is still carefully made by hand.
