Mattson series dining chairs
Bruno Mathsson is a leading Scandinavian furniture designer who was awarded the title of professor by the Swedish government. This was born from a collaboration between Bruno Mathsson and Tendo Mokko.

The Mattson series personal chair is designed to suit Japanese lifestyles.
This chair is characterized by its enveloping seating, typical of Bruno Mathsson, who has continued to research furniture.

The structure of the canvas stretched across a molded plywood frame makes it both light and sturdy. Its lightness makes it easy for women to move. It uses a "floor rail" that won't scratch the floor, so you can use it safely on carpets and tatami mats.

Who is Bruno Mathsson?
He was born in 1907 in Varnamo in southern Sweden as the son of a furniture maker. He learned furniture making from an early age, and after gaining experience as a furniture maker, he established his own workshop and produced many masterpieces. He released his signature work, EVA, in 1934, and the Carlin Chair in 1968. In 1981, he was awarded the title of Professor by the Swedish government. The furniture he designed is coveted as a masterpiece of Swedish modernism. There is an anecdote that when he visited Tendo in 1974, he expressed a strong desire to stay in an inn with tatami mats.
