The Nychair X was born in 1970

This chair masterpiece, created by Japanese designer Takeshi Nii, has been sold around the world for over 50 years. With a background in Japanese living environments and other aspects of its origins, its simple, beautiful and functional design that can be placed anywhere, and the quality and comfort that can only be achieved through Japanese production, are still highly regarded and loved around the world.

About the designer, Takeshi Nii The designer, Takeshi Nii, was born as the third generation of a kendo equipment manufacturer in Tokushima Prefecture. The "Nee Chair" is made from the same materials as kendo equipment (wood, iron, cloth, string). Based on the belief that "a chair should be cheap, comfortable to sit on, and useful like a tool," the chair was created with the aim of creating a "chair like curry rice" that would be loved by many people.

Nychair X features
(1) It is a folding chair that can be easily folded and is compact with a thickness of about 15cm to 22cm. It can stand on its own when folded, so it can be stored without taking up much space. It weighs about 6 to 6.5kg, making it easy for even small people to carry.

(2) The seat and armrest height are designed to be comfortable, and the angle of the backrest and the characteristics of the fabric make it feel as if you are being wrapped in a seat. Even with the ottoman, it is possible to relax in a compact space of about one tatami mat.

(3) Carefully crafted in Japan The Nychair X is made up of simple parts, and requires high-level craftsmanship. Inheriting Takeshi Arai's belief that "a chair should be inexpensive, comfortable, and useful like a tool," we have consistently produced it domestically (made in Japan).

(4) Even if it breaks, it can be repaired. Seats that have become damaged over time can be removed and replaced, and screws and pipes can be repaired and maintained individually, so you can use it for a long time.
